Back in 1947, the sub-continent was divided into Pakistan and India. Now, both the countries will turn 72 years old and here we need to compare the economic, social and political stability of the countries. This comparison would help us to know where we are lacking and where India is getting an edge in the world. As a result, we can work on those areas to compete better.

Giving Importance to Own Cultural Values, Norms, Customs, and Language:
Every region is known for its distinct culture, norms, and values. Likewise, Pakistan and India both have unique cultures. There are a few similarities but both are entirely different on the basis of religious values and beliefs. Therefore, both countries have a separate identity.
India has always valued its cultural norms, values, and beliefs at every ground but Pakistan somehow fails here. The elite class and the showbiz industry are deliberately driving the youth of Pakistan from their culture. Instead, they are leaner towards western culture. Hence, the youth is following ‘Gora Culture’ and feels proud when they dress and speak like them.

Furthermore, India gives priority to its ‘National Language- Hindi’ but Pakistani feel ashamed when they speak Urdu. Let’s take an example of any reality show. How many of you are watching Pepsi Battle of the Bands? Most of the time, the judges give comments in English but not in Urdu.
On the other hand, how many of us have seen Indian Idol? (Let’s be sincere to ourselves!) Those judges are more polite and they do not hesitate to comment in ‘Hindi’. Apart from this, there are many other examples. Do I need to mention more examples here?
Foreign Policy of Vested Interest:
India’s foreign policy is among the best foreign policies in the world. Why am I saying this? This is because India knows how to work according to its vested interest.
Some of the global rifts are between:
- USA and Russia
- China and the USA
- USA and Iran
- Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arab
India has trade policies with all of these countries and interestingly, India knows how to maintain the right balance between these relations. Therefore, any of these rifts do not affect the trade of India. What about Pakistan? We all know that how CPEC is affecting our IMF loan. So, Pakistan should learn from the foreign policy of India.

Cheap Labor Attracting Foreign Investments:
Previously, China used to produce the products at the lowest cost due to its cheap labor. Later on, Vietnam came as a competitor and now India is also in this rat race. So, many multinational companies have made their manufacturing units in India.
In addition, numerous foreign investors are supporting local companies to produce export quality goods.

Export Policies Spreading Positive Image of India:
Cheap Labor with favorable export policies makes a great combination for the entrepreneurs, investors, and businessmen. So, year by year India is producing more products according to the export quality. Ultimately, it is promoting Indian goods in foreign markets. Above all, the products must have a product description in Hindi and may include any other language too.

Simple Lifestyle:
Indian people are far simpler than Pakistani people. Yes, there is more poverty in India and people cannot afford expensive lifestyle but what about politicians?
Indian politicians dress up, simply. In the case of Pakistan, even the bureaucrats have a luxurious lifestyle.

Also, the citizens of Pakistan are becoming brand conscious. It is because of the blessings of marketing tools but the people are spending money on useless stuff. Today, Pakistan needs us but the bitter reality is that we are not ready to give up on our lifestyles.
Conclusion:
These are a few accomplishments of India and there are many more including the advancement of technology, and educational reforms, etc. With all of these activities, India has much better GDP than of Pakistan. Apart from this, India is rising with China to become a developed country in the near future (If not in the near future, it has great potential to become a developed country before Pakistan). Here, Pakistanis should stand up as a nation to promote a positive soft image of Pakistan in the whole world and learn from its neighboring country-India.
