Fellows! Do not worry at all, just scroll down a little to know more about GPA, CGPA and how to calculate it in Pakistan.
GPA VS CGPA
When you are registered in your graduation program, there are total 8 semesters which means your GPA (Grade Point Average) would be calculated 8 times in 4 years. It is your semester performance just like you used to get overall grades/marks/percentages after your final term exams, in your school. In university, the semester result is known as GPA.
On the other hand side, CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) is also calculated after every semester but it appears to be the average result of your degree. For instance, your CGPA of graduation would reflect your overall degree performance. Let’s take the example of your Matric result, how it was calculated? You got separate results in 9th and 10th grades but your Matric result appeared as the average of both results. Same was the case in your intermediate too. So, that’s the CGPA is your average performance of the degree.

In every semester, your workload depends on the courses that you have opted for the semester. Further, there is a criterion to get the marks. In schools, we used to have midterm exams, final exams, class quizzes. Also, the teacher used to give us the feedback and grades on our class participation. Likewise, every university set a criterion to calculate your GPA of the semester.
