For the purpose, famous celebrities are hired and their fans follow what they say in the advertisement. As a result, advertising agency, brand ambassador and the company earns huge profits but who stay at loss? The consumers! The Minister for Climate Change, Zartaj Gul disclosed that 56 out of 59 fairness cream companies use mercury in the creams. Due to this, cancer in females is increasing.

These whitening creams contain an excessive amount of mercury in it which cause skin cancer. Here, we should know that mercury is a hazardous element to eat, ingest or use externally.
In addition, there is a skin color complex in our society and the majority wants to have white skin. Despite knowing the climatic conditions of Pakistan, the girls of our society are using whitening creams. Above all, girls use whitening cream more than one time in a day for better results. Therefore, whitening creams have more harmful effects.
Sealing Whitening Cream Companies:
The minister not only exposed the companies but promised to seal these companies after 31 December 2019. The companies are given some time to improve their product according to the standards. We hope minister do not procrastinate the issue longer, as these creams are dangerous for the users.
Our Mushwarah to the Pakistani society is to change these stereotypes because it is negatively affecting our current and coming generations of Pakistan. Everyone is beautiful the way they are and we should appreciate the appearance of each other. Apart from this, these unnecessary advertisements should be banned in Pakistan that is playing with the health of the consumers. Furthermore, these companies should be levied heavy fines.
