What is NPHP
Naya Pakistan Housing Program is an initiative by the current government regarding the house. This scheme will provide homes to the homeless at quite a low rate, in addition to this, the NPHP will also economically surge the country and lowers the unemployment rate. There is a huge shortage of houses in Pakistan. More than 10 million people in Pakistan cannot purchase their own houses due to cash. This scheme provides affordable houses to people at a low rate and on installments. Furthermore, the government will work with private companies for the manufacturing of the houses. Multiple units have been selected by the government and they plan to manufacture houses of those units.
How this scheme will be helpful
According to AAJ news, this scheme is valid for 3 and 5 marla houses. There are fix rates for both of these units. For 3 marla the price is 16.5 Lac to 17.5 Lac and for 5 Marla, the price is 21 Lac to 23 Lac. After the submission of the form, there will be balloting and successful persons need to submit the down payment. The installment will be planned after the ballotting. This scheme will really be helpful for underprivileged and homeless people. They can get their own houses with property rights at a very low cost.
Criteria for eligibility
There are certain conditions and rules for the purchasing of houses under this Naya Pakistan Housing program Punjab. The following are the criteria that applicant must fulfill.
- The applicant should be resident Punjab and his district will be preferred.
- There must be no house or plot under the name of that applicant.
- Applicant should live in that house for at least 5 year
- The right for selling the house will be given after 5 years of residency.
- The applicant can apply from government quota reserved for government/police/army official (injured or martyred during duty) or through disabled quota reserved for the general public.
How to apply for NPHP
To apply for this scheme, first of all, you have to get the registration form. Before the online access was given to the customers, but now you can get the form from the bank of Punjab. After filling the required detail you have to submit with the fee and token money, it will be refundable for unsuccessful candidates. - Get an application form from The Bank of Punjab or you can also get from nphp.nadra.gov.pk website
- Fill out the information on the form.
- Enter the information required.
- Attach the documents and Pay registration fee of 250 rupees.
- Submit your form and get the receipt
Along with this you also have to submit the token money of rupees 10,000. This token money will be refundable for the unsuccessful candidates. Moreover, it can be collected within 15 days of ballotting. The successful candidates will have to submit the down payment of rupees 20,000 within 20 days after the ballotting. Currently, the scheme is available for Bhakkar, Layyah, and Quaidaabad. For the next registration, you have to wait.
