  1. Bitter Gourd (Karela):

You can cultivate this summer vegetable in two phases either from Feb to March or from June to July. You start getting Bitter Gourd in 50 to 60 days

  1. White Flowered Gourd (Kadu):

White Flowered Gourd

White Flowered Gourd is the favorite vegetable of our holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). This vegetable is the best remedy for the heat. It is also rich in vitamin B1, B2, B3, C & E, and is helpful for digestion and kidney stone problem.

The best time for cultivating this vegetable is from Feburay to march or from June to July. The plants will start giving White Flowered Gourd in 40 to 50 days.

  1. Ridge Gourd (Tori):

Ridge Gourd is common as Tori in Pakistan. Desi families love eating it with split peas. This vegetable is rich in vitamin C and fibers. Some people also use this vegetable as medicine. It is good for your immune system and purifies the blood.

The best time for cultivating this vegetable is from February to April or from June to July, and its plant starts giving fruits within 60 to 70 days after planting.

  1. Apple Gourd (Tenday):

Apple Gourd is not much loved by youngsters but it has many benefits. It also fights against cancer elements in our body and helps in digestion. It also removes all the toxins from your kidney.

Apple Gourd plant starts giving mature fruit within 50 to 60 days and the best time for cultivating this vegetable is from March to April and from June to July.

  1. Aubergines/ Egg Plant (Baingan):

Aubergines are also known as Eggplant. It has different shapes some are round and some are long. Aubergines pakoras are very common during Ramadan. It is also a source of vitamins B1 and B2. It prevents cancer, heart attack and purifies your blood.

Start cultivating this vegetable from February to March or during June. This vegetable starts giving aubergines within 60 to 70 days.

  1. Cucumber (Kheera):

Cucumber is also very common in Pakistan. It is commonly used as a salad. You can also eat it with a little bit of salt and spices. It’s a must vegetable during mealtime. This vegetable also maintains your blood pressure and promotes hydration in your body. It contains antioxidants which prevent all kind of diseases related to kidney, heart and lungs.

The ideal time for cultivating this vegetable is from February to July and it starts giving fruit in 50 to 70 days.

  1. Ladyfinger/Okra (Bhindi):

There is a saying that if you don’t love bhindi then your mom is not cooking it right. And we definitely agree with this statement. Bhindi is the most loved summer vegetable in desi families. This vegetable is rich in antioxidants and vitamins. Not only that, but it is also helpful for your heart and for maintaining blood pressure.

You can cultivate Ladyfinger from February to March and from June to July. The ideal time for giving fruit of this plant is 70 to 90 days.
